Began his carrier in 1979 with Telekom Malaysia, and he is now well known as an experienced Telecommunication Engineer. He joined Celcom in 1989 as one of the pioneer staffs where he was actively involved in developing Celcom cellular network where he was also the pioneer of Sabah and Sarawak Network Development as Senior Manager which later got promoted to Deputy General Manager post with network assets worth RM60 million. He carried out the planning and implementation of Digital Telephone Network for Sheeba Telecom Bangladesh with a project value of RM12 million in 1994. A year later, he was promoted to General Manager for Sarawak Region with networks’ assets worth RM100 million.
In 1997, he was in a position of Vice President/General Manager of Central Region. As a Vice President, his last international assignment was to provide consultancy services to Tritel Co. Ltd., Tanzania for their network expansion program with a project value of RM10 million. In 1999, he was transferred to the Headquarters and became the Head of Celcom Operation and Maintenance of assets worth RM6.5 billion. He has experienced developing more than 400 cellular stations as a Celcom Project Manager and constructed more than 100 towers with approximate value more than RM50 million, 10 unit towers for Sheeba Telecom Pte Ltd Bangladesh & Digi Communications and a few units of aesthetic monopole towers for Asia Space Sdn Bhd.
Our dedicated Executive Director / Chief Executive Officer holds a Bachelor of Engineering Electrical from UniversitiTeknologi Malaysia (UTM). He has 17 years of accumulative experiences with business development besides outstanding achievements in the trading of various technology-based products specialized in industrial safety and engineering services in an electrical engineering field.
He is among the specialist in industrial safety where he actively engaged in confined space equipment and working at height solutions division complete with product utilization and application training. On electrical engineering segment, he involves directly in the lightning protection system, storage batteries and military communications as well as reconnaissance solutions.
Since 2000, he has successfully planned managed and implemented numerous engineering services project for Telekom Malaysia ™ Malaysia Ministry of Defence (MOD), Royal Malaysian Police (RMP), Police Republic Indonesia (POLRI) and AIRNAV Indonesia. He is also highly acknowledged for his sales and marketing accomplished for the past years.
Syed Khalil Mirza Mohd Ishak joined HarapanErat to assist board in overseeing Finance, Account and Treasury functions also in establishing cost effective controls, assessing risks, mitigate credit risks, oversees budgets and assets, and assuring proper governance process. Subsequently, in September 2017 he was promoted to Head of Finance which oversees three departments, namely Finance and Account, Procurement and Administration.
With more than Ten years of experienced in Accounting and Finance field, and qualification of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), he is an enterprising, and technically skilled accountant known for accuracy attention to detail and timeliness in managing complex information and develop accurate report for diverse industries.
Previously he had few years of experience working with Audit Firms. Prior to joining HarapanErat, he was the key person to assure Corporations achieved cost-effective controls, reduced credit risks, substantial profit after tax, assets growth and facilities from financial institution.
